Tie-in Realization

Head Energy Solve has conducted FEED study and concept screening and selection, and EPCI project of tie-in for a new system for removal of mercury and sulpur at Equinor’s facility at Tjeldbergodden.

The EPCI Project was conducted without any HSE incidents and delivered on budget and in time to scheduled installation to turnaround late May 2022.

FEED lasted from May to December 2021 settling concept for removal of mercury and sulpur and engaged a multi-discipline engineering team which worked closely with Equinor’s own team, several technology suppliers and civil contractor.
After a thorough screening process, a stand-out concept was identified, followed by detailed engineering within respective disciplines.

After completing the FEED study, Head Energy Solve was awarded the EPCI project for tie-in and groundwork.

Scope of work included:

  • Prefabricated piping, valves, E&I equipment, pressure reduction cabinet, access platform
  • Groundwork including preparation of zoning plan
  • Installation in cooperation with subcontractors

On-site installation was conducted under supervision of Head Energy Solve.
