Head Energy Denmark consists of an administration and 3 subsidiaries; Head Energy Denmark Consulting, based in Esbjerg (DK) and Paris (FR), Head Energy DanGrid based in Odense and Copenhagen (DK), and Head Energy Germany.
Our highly competent and experienced in-house team have more than 60 employees and consultants dedicated to offshore wind.
Head Energy Denmark delivers highly qualified personnel and services towards major clients within the offshore wind industry. We strive to be considered an efficient and reliable partner for clients within the complete offshore wind value chain.
History
In 2011, we established an office in Stavanger and signed our first national framework agreements.
In 2012, we surpassed 100 employees for the first time and achieved a turnover of over 100 MNOK.
In 2013, Head Energy acquired the subsea and technology company Multicontrol.
This marked our transition from being solely a consultancy firm to becoming an engineering and consultancy house.
In 2014, Head Energy was named regional winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year award and initiated a strategic focus on offshore wind.
Over 100 engineers and project managers from Head Energy contributed to the completion and commissioning of three converter platforms for the German sector.
In 2015, we established Head Energy Solve - our second engineering company, focusing primarily on maintenance and modifications.
2016 was a challenging year in terms of revenue.
However, it was also the year we took our first steps internationally, launching our first offshore wind-focused company, Head Energy Denmark.
In 2018, we established Head Energy Infra, targeting construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure.
We achieved a turnover of 460 MNOK with solid margins.
Head Energy became ISO certified.
In 2020, we expanded our presence in the construction and civil engineering sector with the establishment of a planning and design division, Head Energy UP.
In 2021, we launched an IT department and established Head Energy Sweden, focusing on consultancy services.
Acquired BrannCon, a fire advisory company in Stavanger.
Acquired DanGrid in Odense, Denmark, specializing in high-voltage design.
Acquired the construction advisory company Introcon in Bergen.
Established Head Energy NorGrid, specializing in high-voltage engineering.
Opened a new office in Trondheim, focusing on consultancy services.
Acquired Mitta and rebranded it as Head Energy Geo, expanding into geotechnics, environmental geology, and ground drilling.
Combined project planning, analysis, and legal services into the newly established company Head Energy Nexus.
