Equinor — Tjeldbergodden connection realization
Head Energy Solve has completed a FEED study, concept study and EPCI project for the connection of a new mercury and sulphur removal system at Equinor's facility at Tjeldbergodden. The EPCI project was executed without HSE incidents, delivered within budget and on time for scheduled installation during the audit shutdown at the end of May 2022.
The FEED phase lasted from May to December 2021 and set out the concept for mercury and sulfur removal. A multidisciplinary engineering team worked closely with Equinor's own team, several technology suppliers and a construction contractor. After a thorough investigation process, a prominent concept was identified, followed by detailed engineering within respective disciplines.
Upon completion of FEED study, Head Energy Solve was assigned to the EPCI project for connection and groundwork.
The scope of work included:
- Prefabrication of pipes, valves, electrical and instrumentation equipment, pressure reduction cabinet and access platform.
- Ground work, including the preparation of zoning.
- Installation in cooperation with subcontractors.
The on-site installation was carried out under the supervision of Head Energy Solve.
We appreciate the excellent cooperation with Equinor during both the FEED and EPCI phases. We are proud of our dedicated team who have delivered complex and challenging projects with high quality.
