How can we maximise oil recovery from a reservoir? Precise control of production across individual well zones plays an important role.
The Bossa Nova Subsea Control Module enables multiple ICVs (Inflow Control Valves) to be operated through just three hydraulic lines. By controlling inflow from different reservoir zones, the system provides greater flexibility in managing production downhole, helping operators optimise reservoir performance and improve overall oil recovery.
Smart control logic
Head Energy Multicontrol developed the hydraulic control system and electronics behind the solution. The control logic operates the hydraulic lines in different combinations, effectively acting as unique “keys” to activate specific functions.
Well zones can be opened and closed within minutes by operating valves located more than six kilometres downhole.
The result is an efficient solution for advanced well control, giving operators greater control over production and helping improve overall oil recovery.
