Meet Ehlin Wåhlèn

No two days are the same for Ehlin Wåhlèn – and that is exactly what she likes most about her job.

As Regional Manager for Mälardalen at Head Energy Sweden, her working days are fast-paced, with a lot of responsibility and many points of contact. Recruitment, business and consultant responsibility run in parallel, while new challenges keep cropping up.

– There is always something new to solve, and that is exactly what makes the job so much fun.

The road to the role

After finishing school, Ehlin started working in retail and sales, including home furnishings. Her interest in people and relationships took her into the recruitment industry, where she worked for around eight years before taking the step to Head Energy.

Today, it is above all the opportunity to contribute and make a difference that drives her in the role.

– For me it is important to feel that I contribute, both to the company and to the people I meet. Making every day meaningful matters to me, and I like to do “that little extra” where I can.

Building team spirit every day

A large part of the job is about leadership and creating a sense of community in teams where many consultants work on site with different clients. For Ehlin, communication is crucial.

– Communication and attentiveness are probably the most important qualities in a good team leader. Actually listening to the team and trying to meet them where they are.

To strengthen team spirit, the team actively organises meet-ups, lunches and joint activities.

It is also the people who matter most in her day-to-day work.

– I am in touch with so many wonderful people, both clients and colleagues. At the same time, I get the chance to develop and learn new things all the time.

Days full of energy and development

For Ehlin, energy is an important part of everyday life – both in her work and in her leadership. She describes the role as intense, varied and rewarding, with constant opportunities to grow together with the team and the clients.

– I appreciate working closely with people while helping to develop both business and relationships over time.
