Strengthens efforts on project planning, analysis and legal services
The Head Energy group is now strengthening its efforts in project planning, analysis and legal services. With early involvement, societal benefits, value creation and profitability can be maximized, explain Elin Vagle and Dag Ove Søvik.
Project planning, analysis and legal services are now brought together in the newly formed company Head Energy Nexus. Nexus means liaison between entities or strategic interaction and communicates that the ambition is to become a preferred partner at an early stage in projects and ensure good communication and effective cooperation.
-The goal is short and good to be able to ensure that the customer succeeds in the best possible way with complex projects. We will enable the customer to choose the right project from the start and can, among other things, assist with needs studies, feasibility studies, concept selection studies, and environmental and sustainability studies,” says Vagle.
Elin Vagle has extensive experience as a project manager both in private and in large public development and construction projects. She will now spearhead and further develop Head Energy's strategic focus on project planning and analysis. The venture complements Head Energy's existing business in traditional project management.
A common denominator in many of the projects Vagle has worked on in recent years is more forward-looking and sustainable urban development, with good spaces and living and living in. She has in recent years played key roles in two of Stavanger's largest construction projects. As a process manager for the development of the Kvernevik school and sports area — a project that is currently being prepared for a turnkey contract competition — and as project manager during the development of the Lervig Quarter. The latter project combines industry, sports, school, office and district areas and has a project value of NOK 1.2 billion
-Being able to lead the interaction in such a large complex project in close collaboration with users and multidisciplinary teams from early need to implementation and on to operation is very rewarding. Sustainable project management and collaboration help a project achieve the success criteria. We now want to offer this way of managing projects in an even greater scope to both public and private builders,” says Vagle.
Valuable synergies with legal services
Dag Ove Søvik is Head of Legal Services at Head Energy and has 18 years of experience from the public and private sectors within real estate legal services. He has extensive experience negotiating and assisting in major infrastructure projects with expertise in land and rights servicing, development agreements, as well as assistance in concession processes.
Søvik sees clear benefits from a holistic approach to the early phase:
-Our legal services team specializes in giving clients a good start in projects and assisting in project planning through skilled lawyers/specialists such as Anne Berit Bjørheim Berg, Steinar Dahle, Jonas Nordnes Berglind and Christer Smolka. Together, we have expertise in legal disciplines of great value for the early stage and extensive experience in collecting, analysing, processing and presenting information that provides a solid basis for decision making for further project development,” says Dag Ove Søvik.
-Our expertise ensures that complex projects start on the right foot, with all legal and strategic considerations taken into account. Legal services also make an important contribution in planning the progress plan of projects. Together we will maximise the societal benefits, value creation and profitability for our customers. Today we have an extensive client list consisting of both public and private companies, as well as private individuals.
What's new is that we combine project planning & analysis with legal services and focus especially on the early phase with a national market focus,” Søvik concludes.
