Randaberg Church
Head Energy PA has led the restoration of Randaberg Church, preserving its historic qualities while upgrading the interior for greater flexibility and functionality.
Our scope: project management, public procurement and construction management
Randaberg Church was built in 1845, with a chancel added in 1978. In 2021, the chancel was upgraded to better adapt the interior to the historic church space and to allow more flexible use. The wall and ceiling panelling was replaced and painted based on a study of the historic layers of paint. The altar rail was divided into several sections that can be moved when needed, and new lighting has been installed. The altarpiece from 1621 was conserved by the Museum of Archaeology at the University of Stavanger.
The floors, pews and galleries were also refurbished. Randaberg Church reopened with a service on 31 October 2021.
Head Energy PA contributed project management, public procurement and construction management in the execution phase, and together with the dedicated craftspeople delivered an excellent result.
